Native MPEG4 decoding is bad under Vista.
(re-enable the XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder).
Go to
Start Menu
All Programs
XVid
Configure Decoder
In the Output options, check in the box that says
Compatibility Render-er and click OK
This still utilities the XVid MPEG4 codec and resolved the half green screen issue.
